Pisaurids occuring in the Netherlands do not spin a web and live on the ground or on
plants. The females carry their egg sacs in the chelicerae, under the sternum. Prior
to the hatching of the eggs, the females place their egg sac in a specially built
nursery web. They guard the spiderlings for some time after they leave the eggs.
