Bundled fraction

The bundled fraction is the percentage of hairs bundled by the pigtail under consideration, where 100% corresponds to the total haircount of the pigtail bearer. For run-of-the-mill pigtails, bundled fraction is 50% (two pigtails each bundle half of the hairs, see fig. a). In the case of deviational variations like pigtail deficiency and the ponytail, bundled fraction reaches 100%. Fringes and loose strands of hair reduce bundled fraction values.
